Kelley practices law in the areas of personal injury and motor vehicle accidents. She is a member of the Arizona State Bar Association and Arizona Trial Lawyer Association/Arizona Association of Justice.
Her personal efforts have produced numerous six-figure and seven-figure settlements in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, as well as substantial awards in more moderate personal injury cases. She is committed to the highest standards of the legal field, bound by a dedication to protecting her clients’ interests. She believes in providing quality personal service to her injured clients and grieving families, even calling on doctors and other professionals to serve as experts on their behalf.
Kelley Durham is a caring, compassionate, and dedicated attorney focusing on serious and catastrophic personal injury law. K. Durham Law PLLC is a firm that believes each person’s injuries and experience are unique and treats each client as an individual. After Attorney Durham and her team develop an approach based on the individual’s needs, clients are kept up to date on the progress of their case and informed about what to expect throughout the process. Each client is treated with the respect and attention they deserve, and when they call into the office, Kelley and her legal team always know the client by name.
Driven by her desire to assist people who are being victimized, Kelley began her law career in high school as a legal assistant at a personal injury firm. She continued to work full-time at that firm, taking on additional responsibilities and becoming a paralegal while continuing her education at ASU and graduating Magna Cum Laude. Kelley went on to law school at Texas Wesleyan School of Law (also known as Texas A&M School of Law) and graduated a semester early in December 2006 with her Juris Doctorate.
Upon graduating, Kelley returned to Arizona and practiced personal injury law and family law. She soon came to realize that she could make the most difference by advocating for personal injury victims. Kelley returned her focus to personal injury law and worked as an associate with another firm before opening K Durham Law PLLC in Tempe. She has been admitted to the Supreme Court of Arizona, U.S. District Court of Arizona, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and is also a member of the Arizona State Bar Association, Arizona Trial Lawyer Association/Arizona Association of Justice, and American Bar Association.
Kelley’s focus on assisting those around her lends itself to prolific volunteer and community work. While in law school, she volunteered with Legal Aid to provide legal services for victims of Hurricane Katrina and educated students about law, democracy, conflict resolution, and human rights with a program called “Street Law” through the American Bar Association. Her volunteer experience also includes pro bono work with Texas Wesleyan Innocence Project, a foundation focusing on exonerating the wrongly convicted. She has been volunteering with the Fiesta Bowl since 1996 in various capacities and recently was a volunteer at the College Football National Championship Game. Kelley is also a member of the Phoenix Zoo Auxiliary, where she was appointed as the chairperson for Charity Charms fundraising in 2014 and has been re-appointed for the 2016-2018 term. While in law school, she became a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, becoming elected Justice of her chapter in 2006. She held the positions of Vice Justice in the Valley of the Sun Alumni Chapter in 2010-2011 and then Justice from 2011 through 2013, and is currently helping to establish a statewide chapter of Phi Alpha Delta in Arizona.
In her own practice, Attorney Durham strives to dispel any negative associations that clients may hold against personal injury firms. She emphasizes that individual attempts to handle such cases frequently result in smaller settlements and unclaimed money in terms of insurance, lost income, and other areas that victims are unfamiliar with. Kelley is accustomed to working with clients who are not interested in being overly litigious, but rather are having difficulty communicating with insurance companies and handling all areas of their claim. She is very successful in negotiating settlements through investigation and mediation, making this demanding process as worry-free as possible for the victim. Since there are constant developments within the field of personal injury law, Kelley dedicates herself to keeping her knowledge of the law in-depth and current. Attorney Durham is currently participating in Ladder Down, a year-long program designed to empower women attorneys in leadership, business development, and mentoring.
Attorney Kelley Durham believes that all people should be afforded the opportunity to consult and retain competent legal representation. She and her legal team help people who have been seriously injured or who have had a family member killed in a motor vehicle collision, animal mauling, slip, and fall or trucking collision navigate through the complexities of the insurance process. A prospective client’s initial call or meeting, in which Kelley and her team explain their legal rights, comes at no charge. “We see each client as an individual, we know what’s going on in their case, we know about their treatment and their injuries and their needs, and they are never treated like a number.”
"They did a very good job on my case. It took a long time and I got done!"
Heather G.
“Excellent service and great attorneys. All I had to do was focus on recovery from my accident and they took care of the rest.”
Josh G.
“I was involved in a pretty bad accident in January 2013. Having used Kelley Durham and her firm in the past, I immediately reached out to her and asked for advice before talking to anyone else. She immediately picked up the case. Kelley and her team handled everything from day one. This allowed me to focus on getting back to the quality of life I had pre-accident.”
